Went ahead and got the Black Boomba Racing solid shifter bracket bushings (for the shifter cable plate on the transmission.
Did the Install today and love the feel afterward it is just a tad crisper and more defined when selecting a gear . I also have the Mountune quick shift so your results may be different..

Here are some pics
Most of the Tools needed

Engine cover removed check

Air Intake tube and Airbox removed check

There is what i need to get to the shifter cable

Battery out Check and what you need to remove the battery box and attached ECU

Boomba install part two

Then just put everything you took off back on in the order you removed it and have fun :)
Very nice feel once it is done

Cool, I do recommend this mod, anything to have better shifter feel will help you shift, better, less missed gears which can be $$$$$, etc....

Nice work Rod.
Another awesome instructional thread!
I found after yesterday's flustrations with my short shifter, having the right tools to work in the tight spaces is 1/2 the battle!

You are all Welcome I enjoyed doing it. This took maybe a hr to do I also added the Mountune Air bix Induction lower air box at the same time so it all worked well together .. shifts better and sounds a wee bit better.. Fun day :)

Mountune air box, you say! By chance good sir, would you care to enlighten me on the internal diameter of the lower feed pipe?
Need the measurement to get production rolling on my DIY scoop.

Yes give me a lil time to dig it out and get a mic on it :) put me in line for any of your early protypes that didn't meet your needs :) lol

Inner Dia of the box lower hole is 60mm there is a hump on the pipe you connect the hose to and it measures 66mm dia. but the tube slides over that EZ then it necks down to 60 mm again.. Hope this helps :)

i just got the quick shifter installed and i should of got this done at the same time. oh well, the shifter feels pretty good after with the just quick shift. Is it that much of a change with the new bushings since you did them separately? "tad crisper" meaning side to side motion is reduced?

Not so much the side to side motion as the over all more solid feel when it goes into gear just feels solid or more solid..
Though I can still bowjam the 2-3 shift if I get lazy and try to hurry it .. lol operator error not the cars fault ..

My shifter cables popped up from the ball joints with ease but I could not get them off the bracket for the life of me even with a flat head driver. IT IS possible to install the bushings w/o removing the cables (if you have medium to small hands). If you do, install the front two bushings and thread the bolts 2-3 threads. This will give you enough room to adjust the rear to thread the bolt after putting the bushing on either side. Tighten the rear with a small 10mm wrench and you are good to go. Just my 2 cents who had any problem with the cables coming off the bracket. And don't over torque the rear bolt, I could feel it wanting to strip very easily; get it snug and leave it.

I can def tell a difference in the shifter action, love it! Def worth the minimal cost and semi-bloody knuckles!

Where are you stuck in the process ??

Well if you can get the cable bracket off thats really all you need take it off and push the metal inserts out of the three bushings to allow you to get the bushings out of the bracket easier then place the new bushing over the bolt holes on the transmission ans slowly work the bolts in so you don't force anything and cross thread a bolt .. I did the rear bolt first getting the bushing all lined up with the bolt and in the bracket but others have had good luck doing the front twoo first both are good ways to get after it..

Cripes somebody else had that happen when the installed a air intake I think . check all the wires maybe bumped one off ??
