Ford ordered a new adhesive kit and will let me know when it comes in but this is kind of annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I feel like due to heat the adhesive is just going to mess up again. Any solutions you guys can think of would be appreciated. I really wish the gps sensor was mounted elsewhere so I could put a tint strip across the top of the windshield :/ but oh well lol
Hi Wbrjustin - I know tyour post is from last year, but was your issue resolved by Ford? I have a 2015 Fiesta ST and having the same problem. Ford sent out a window guy to add a new piece of double-sided tape but it did not fix the problem. The compass module box is detached from the windshield again. Thanks!

It happened to me the first week I got the car. Dealer said that they have to bring in a windshield specialist to do the glue part. I eventually got so fed up, I scraped all the original glue off and went with the Command Brand picture hanging strips. Velcro strips. I used the 'holds up to 4 lbs' pieces. Shouldn't have any more problems.

Thank you, PeteFiesta. Ford assigned a case # to my problem but it's already been a couple of weeks. I will definitely try your solution.

Hi Meagan, as I opted out of the $700 gps on my Fiesta, do I really need the gps sensor at all? Can the dealership remove it?

It's actually the compass module, so I recommend talking with your dealer about specifics on the functionality and if it can be removed.

I'll be taking it in for my 10,000 service next month, but the velcro seems to be holding up well as long as you have the two pieces in line for the maximum grip.

I have now upgraded to using the velcro strips on both sides of the black box rather than just the middle. The sun was actually expanding the velcro and it kept falling down. Have had it out in the sun for 2 days now and it seems to work. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I was told it advised emergency services of your location when making an emergency call via the bluetooth, is this correct?
