Interested in knowing. I never had a chance to enable the windows on my focus before I sold it but I'd like to do that on this car.

 

I'm going to try it. I've also heard that dealerships have software that can reconfig the BCM, so if anyone has an in with a tech at a dealership that might be a possibility.

 

I would like to do it to ours as well. Also having the fogs on with the brights.

 

What exactly is this mod? Never heard of it.

 

If you hold the lock button on your key fob it rolls up all four windows and if you hold the unlock it rolls them all down.

 

Did the same tweak on all my VW and Audi's. It was mostly helpful if I left the sunroof open since it would close along with the windows. Let us know if you get it working.

 

I know a fellow ST owner who is a tech with Ford. He said because ONLY the drivers window has auto up and down that it will not work on the FiST. He has done it to his Focus ST though.

 

I don't believe this is the case, because people have done the mod on Escapes which only have driver auto down.

Ok so it isn't supposed to do this... I've been thinking my car has a problem because the owners manual tells you how to use global windows, yet it doesn't work. Also says how to use Applink which we don't have... Why do they put this stuff in owners manuals?!

I would like to modify the BCM to have an anti-hijack feature (that is, lock the doors if they are unlocked and you start moving). I know the lock button is close by, but sometimes I forget after my previous car locked automatically (after modification).

Last I heard was that focccus didn't work for the mk7 fiesta but that could now have changed. Haven't personally tried it though, although I do have the cable as it's the same as elmconfig.

 

Our cars do have that feature? Unless you're a non US model.

 

Yeah the cars from Europe don't have it.

 

Autolock at 20kmh+ is do able. Done this on many fiestas,...

 

Please elaborate, because the last time I tried to use FoCCCus with my elm modded cable (which works on a mk2 Focus), it wouldn't connect.

 

FoCCCus dont have the ability for entering the security of mk7 fiesta. You have to use IDS and VCM2 to perform this. Or, if you are on a budget, you can use mini vcx for Ford/Mazda. You can use as built editor on ford.xtlt.ru/ab and download the modded as built. Flash it to your car using IDS & VCM. And its done,...

The VCX tools is capable of doing more than just autolock activation. Its also capable of doing module update (online to the ford server). The tools paid itself bro,...

 

Now forscan let you activate the cruise control, global auto windows, etc. Just buy ftdi cable or modded elm327 with hs and ms can switch. Lot cheaper. And if you want to install oem cruise control, let me know. Will give you the wiring diagram for it.
