My ABS light and traction control light came on last evening. Anyone know what the issue could be? are there any diagnostics i can do myself ?
Boy i have had nothing but trouble with this car. seems like every 2 weeks i have another problem (probably built on a monday or Friday).

These systems go hand in hand so anything like an ABS issue will disable the traction control system. It could be anything but it is more likely a sensor if the brakes still feel ok. You could always borrow or swing through a parts store to use an OBD scanner but it may not pickup this issue if the SES light isn't on. Likely will have to head to the dealer.

No other than the dealer replacing the clutch master and taking the gear box out to replace the clutch slave.
I have an access port and it sees no codes.
Any other trouble shooting i can do?
i am trying to avoid the dealer like a plague. At this point i wish i had avoided Ford in general.

I have already been told that our warrantee does not include rentals. Heck they had my car for weeks due to the clutch problem and they said i was on my own with that.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I wanted to ask if you ended up resolving this issue. I've had the same problem with the traction control and ABS lights turning on after replacing the clutch and slave cylinder in my 14' FiST. Were you able to find out what caused it? I've had endless trouble with this car as well after owning it for 3 years. Still love it though lol

Visit the Autoguysland to review more reasons cause the light on.
The traction control and ABS lights turn on due to many reasons like diagnostic fault code stored in memory. It is also due to ABS issue, low brake fluid, dysfunctional wheel speed sensors. Therefore, you check ABS and traction control system is turned on or not. Hope it help and let us know what you have found out.

If it makes you feel better, tons of single american women drive around with their ABS lights and Trac control lights on constantly for years.
Lol
But really, it just means that ABS and trac control won't work. My girlfriend's radio kept shitting the bed in her fiesta, so now it just doesn't work. Probably something the dealership did. I don't trust anyone to fix my cars and bikes except me. Last year a Harley dealership literally almost killed me 500miles from home.
Further reinforcement bc it was the one time I took something in...
my local Ford dealer is full of underpaid and under trained individuals. I'm not gullible enough to trust them.
