How would you wash and protect the plastic trims around the exterior?

I use Adams car wash, diluted 1:8 in a pressure blaster foamer to clean my cars. Then I use Sonax Plastic restorer on the plastic bits.

For protection a lot of us here in Phoenix use "Detail Doctor" but they just pulled it from the market, thankfully I had just purchased a new bottle as its amazing stuff as it last for weeks even in our scorching sun. Only other product I've used is Mothers "Back to black" which is ok but needs reapplied often.

I bought some turtle wax plastic polish. I forgot to clean my moonroof corners..
