Hi guys and girls,

Had my 2016 Spirit Blue FiST MP215 for 4 weeks now and absolutely loving it. I traded my boring heavy FG MKII XR6T in to get it and some thing are taking a bit of getting to. Skinny but supportive seats are taking a bit to get used to as is the small drivers foot well. The bumpy ride is actually one of the first things I adapted to. At first it was pretty bad but has settled in a bit.

I probably won't modify this past the MP215 kit which was negotiated into the drive away price and fitted by Ford. Hopefully any issues are honoured with the 5 year factory warranty. I have been giving the car a good run in, varying rpm and load not exceeding half throttle or 3,500rpm except the other day I got carried away to 4,500 but with 1,400km on the clock, I am quickly coming to the first service where I plan to change the oil.

Accessories planned in the next 6 months are window tint, ClimAir weather shields, Mountune floor and boot mats, Mountune gearstick gaitor and RMM. A front lip/splitter and wheel upgrade would be nice but we will see. Liking the look of the Oz Racing or Sparco designs.

I don't plan on taking it to the track but just getting some joy out of driving again. The Falcon was boring, straight line isn't for me. I don't find drag racing fun and live near some nice twisty roads. So far so good.

If you see me driving around (Sydney Outer West mostly) give me a wave.

Car looks great mate. You can't go wrong with the MP215 kit, especially if you value the warranty.

Nothing big, just got the windows tinted. I realised the other day that I am having the issue with the actuator/arm making contact with the glass so will have Ford look at it at the upcoming service to see if they can do anything to prevent it. I couldn't find any 5mm tape today to line up the Mountune badge on the back so a little project for another day.

Added ClimAir weather shields today. They look good, very low profile and you can barely notice they are there which is pretty excellent. I am a touch worried about them sitting inside the window channel and scratching the glass but time will tell.

Finally got around to putting on the Mountune Badge. 6mm pinstriping tape was very helpful in squaring it up to the ST badge. Again, some are uploading sideways, what a PITA.

2 more little additions. Mountune boot mat and gear shift gaitor. Quality looks fantastic, just a couple more little things to go now. I wasn't going to change anything on this car but we all know how that ends up.

I'm not really a fan of the Mountune shift knob. I'd probably get another standard one and paint the H pattern and numbers yellow instead of red.

Next on the list is Mountune floor mats, maybe their silicone induction pipe, their mud flaps and if I am ever in a position to have a couple of K spare, will get some rally style wheels like one of the Oz Racing or Sparco designs and keep the stock suspension and ride height.

Installed the Mountune intake pipe. Took all of 3 minutes. I think it makes the induction noise a tiny bit louder and it could be psychological but it feels a little more responsive.

I really wanted that hose, too, just to have something under the hood (do you say hood or bonnet in AU?) that had a mountune emblem, just for looks. They don't make it for 17s, though. Different connector.

Instead, I went with a mountune battery tie down. It doesn't help airflow, but I'm sure it adds 10 hp or so, anyway...

Installed a K&N pod filter and J1 adapter for shits n gigs.

Ordered Oz Racing Superturismo LM in Matte Graphite 17x7 +40. 5ish weeks away.

Ordered Mountune Symposer Delete also. (In customs apparently). Ordered via Aussie site, not paid yet, waiting until the "we have them in stock" email. The site listed the part in stock which is a bit misleading.

We say bonnet in Australia and yes the tie down should add a little hp lol. I wonder if the U.S ones fit the euro/Aus model?? Hmmm.

I think that's about it for updates.

So much for 5-6 weeks. Picked these up today after just 2 weeks.
Gotta say, it always pays to buy the best. I had Work VS XX on my HR31 Skyline and now buying Oz Racing. Great looking wheels.
The plan: get these ceramic coated, get some good 215/40 tyres and get them fitted up in good time.
Oz Racing Superturismo LM

Changes to date on top of MP215 kit.

Oz Racing Superturismo LM 17×7.5 +40
J1 pod filter adapter and K&N Pod filter
Mountune Silicone intake pipe
Mountune Gear Shift Gaitor
Mountune Floor mats
Mountune boot mat
Window tint
Climair Weathershields

A few other goodies on order and some things I have but not installed yet.

So much for keeping it stock. Not showing the wheels just yet but here are pics of the stance difference with the wider wheels and much better offset.
