I don't know that there's an easier way, but I thought I'd ask.

I have been loosely looking for a FiST in the configuration I'd buy...If I buy. When you type a zipcode into the Ford website to search, you end up having to choose a dealer, and if the dealer doesn't have a matching car, you can look in "extended inventory." Unfortunately, even that extended inventory covers a pretty limited geographical area. You can type in more zipcodes, or search other dealers, but that gets slow and cumbersome to expand the searched area. Any suggestion as to how I can search a large area such as a state, or two? I don't wan't to "let Ford" search, because I don't want to end up on a dealer's contact list. I've had that happen, and it's a pain.

Appreciate any help!

Thanks for the tip--cars.com isn't set up with "Fiesta ST" as a search option. Plus some of the listings I did get were stock Fiesta boilerplate, with incorrect (auto trans) options. But, it's a STart...

When you look at the extended list, pull up the window sticker or details of the car. Copy and search on the vin number and you will find the dealer.
It does not necessarily mean the car is in stock, but has been ordered and a vin assigned.
Call the dealer to find out.
