Yesterday, my 2014 FiST started producing a series of loud clicking sounds emanating from the center of the dash. The clicks start shortly after the car is started and only last about 8 seconds. This evening, I captured the strangeness on video. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this and what folks think it might be.

Hi Meagan, Odometer is 6000 miles. Based on what I've been able to research, I agree that it is most likely the HVAC servos/Recirculating Door Activator. I have not contacted the dealer yet. Curious to know your thoughts.

Thanks

I'll be happy to loop in your customer service manager on this. I'll need a private message with your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location.

Yup, temp blend door.

(Nissan Service Writer, and this is a common problem on Armada, and Titans, same noise, right after car starts)

You are hearing the blend door receive the command to adjust for temperature after the diode reads the in cabin temp and adjust. But it's slipping (plastic gear loose, or stripped base)

Hello Everyone,

I am also having the issue with the clicking after startup on my 2014. Setup a service appointment and sent Meagan a PM. Anyone have a status on what the issue is and what the repair was?

Good info for future reference should it happen again or for self-help owners out of warranty.

Thanks!

Woah, wait, that's loud! I think that's the blend door being stuck/stripped. Ouch! let us know what happens at the dealer.

Was a cause found? I have this exact same noise in my 2014 Fiesta. Would be nice to have something to tell the dealer when I take it in.

Hi guys,

Have you been to your dealer to have this checked out? Please let me know, along with your mileage, and I'll take a look at some options.
