A Ford salesman stopped me last night at the grocery and wanted to see the ST. His employer (a local dealer) hadn't gotten one in yet and he was curious.

He said he sells a lot of the Titanium Fiesta models and he was looking around what features the ST had.

He mentioned "Global Closing", or using the remote to open/close the windows remotely. I had no idea and, honestly, hadn't seen that feature mentioned anywhere. He said on the Titanium models, it's on pretty much everyone of them and since this car has the "Intelligent Access Transmitter" he thought that the ST should have it.

We could't get my car to do it.

I went home and found this feature on page 73 of the owners manual but it says "if equipped".

Do any of your cars have this feature?

Thanks

Yeah i read about it in the manual as well...can't even get the auto down to work...which is a feature I love for hot day. Roll them all down as I walk to the car to let heat out. Need to do a bit of recon to see if auto up and down can be added in.

My 2000 jetta glx had that, but I bought that car used so never got around to having my remote unlock to work during my 5 years with the car, but when unlocked with the key sometimes it would make all the windows go down. The lock tumbler was faulty.

In the VW world, a ton of neat things could be programmed through the ODBII port via the canbus. Just needed to know the proper hexidecimal codes, and where to put them. Someone even created a nice GUI for a Windows laptop and proper adapter to easily program the system. And even though US models, the Euro codes were there too, and could be activated.

Driver window auto down works. However the Auto Up does not.

No auto up or down on the passenger windows.
Pass side does not have any auto function as for Drivers side auto up you will need to retrain the window for bump stop setting page 72ish of the owners manual. This needs to be done anytime the battery is dead or disconnected from the car

Nothing. Nothing for any combo of holding anything on the fob. It's depressing, my friend's 99 Jetta has it and my 2014 doesn't. Pleh.

I really miss this feature. I could hold down the unlock button on the remote and roll all the windows down before getting in.

If rain was coming, I could hold down the lock button and close all windows including the sunroof.
