Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure.

Ford calls for me to have this done if and when I replace the Flywheel. (with any flywheel not just their dual-mass one)
So will I need this done even with a tune is my question ??
From what I gather the Ford tech hooks up a scantool and does some black magic, No reflash is required.
Any thoughts or Ideas ?
Thanks

Yes it is tied to that . On a side note i was reading the GT500 and GT mustang folks had this issue while changing a front pully or flywheel.. front pully on the SC cars I think..

If you pull your transmission, or if you pull your damper pulley, or if you replace your cams, you will need to have access to this tool. I will need one as soon as my 3.7L Ford V6 engine is completed. My builder said he has access to one from a local Ford dealer. I never had to reprogram with any tune, however. Your engine will misfire without the reprogramming.
