ST Recaro Seats worth it?

What are your thoughts on the Recaro Seats?

I have them (non-leather) in my Focus ST and really like them. I've owned the ST about a year now and they have held up really well.

Depends on how you're going to drive it I guess :) I'd probably have to go with the Recaros the way that I would drive this little sucker!
I was back and forth on this as I first ordered my ST without them but after sitting in the Focus ST again with plain and Recaro seats and talking to some of the Fiesta movement agents that have the FiST with Recaros I had to up my order to include the Recaro package as well as opting for the dark wheels at the same time so I can be lazy about cleaning brake dust off the stock wheels.. I have heard nothing but good about these Recaro's so lets hope :) Plus where I Live heated seats are a plus in winter as well as the heated mirrors!!!

I'm constantly going back and forth on this. I like the Recaros, but at the same time, for that $2000 I could get the Mountune kit installed and have enough money left over to buy a nice new receiver for my home theater. And since the majority of my Fun Driving will probably consist of on-ramps and back roads, I can't imagine the Recaros will be anything more than an aspirational thing for me.

Still, they look great.
The 2K price tag is what kills it for me. They need an option that is just the Recarro's. No heated seats or mirrors. Drop the price another $600 - $800 and give customers that option. I live in Austin, so heated seats and mirrors aren't a necessity. Even though it can get pretty cold here at times I don't need them. So paying 2K for seats is--well--overkill (for me at least)

Honestly, the seats are the majority of the price. Heaters and mirrors are almost a consolation prize.

But yeah, if losing the Recaros gets me out the door for under $25k, it's a worthy sacrifice.

I'm in the same boat as RodMoe - ordered the base model (same color and everything, our cars are twins), but ended up adding the Recaro package after testdriving the Fiesta ST at the EcoBoost challenge - and again two weeks ago. That are infinitely more comfortable and better looking than the regular Fiesta seats, and, somehow, wider than the Recaros in the Focus - which is a good thing, those are almost too narrow. I think they look better too, with the entire cloth insert one color, versus some gray or blue triangles in the bolsters.
I still think that they are very hard to get in and out of with the high side bolsters. Plus $2000 is just a little too rich for me. Something in between like what is offered with the Titanium or nice leather heated seats in my Focus SE are just right for me. I plan to grip the steering wheel in hard cornering anyhow. It builds muscles and stamina.
Ford seems to have made the Recaros' for the Focus to fit a European....not an American......

Seen them before but these pics pushed me to upgrade and after sitting the new 2014 Fiesta nice seats but nothing like the Focus ST Recaros .. long term well worth the money if you can swing it... If not maybe some unhappy ST owner will want to downgrade or a junkyard will have a set.. to each his own and I respct your choices .. just saying these seats are the option to have on this car rather than nav or sunroof imho

Why do the leg bolsters on the driver side look normal while on the passenger seat look flat? are they adjustable on the Fiesta......they're not on the Focus st.
the drivers seat is a recaro the passenger seat is the standard seat that comes in the Fiesta it only gets a ST logo on it they are flat compared to the Recaro's and it mite be a funky camera angle too . just a thought

If you get a chance to swing by a dealer, the seats are the same shape are regular Fiesta seats, just with a 'sport upholstery' cover. They have some side bolstering, but it's almost negligible. My '94 Accord DX has more side bolstering. Heck, so does my uncle's F-150. It's sorta sad, in a car like this... wonder why we didn't get cloth Recaro's standard like in Europe and Australia.
Still up in the air about the seats as 2k is a lot of money for sports seats. I'll most likely take the aftermarket route and buy a single performance seat for the driver side.
I LOVE my recaros. They are a huge part of the reason I stepped up to the ST3 when I bought my Focus ST. I drive a lot. A LOT. I took delivery of my ST July 15 of 2013 and I have nearly 11K miles on it already. This is the first car I have owned in ten years where I can drive for 16 straight hours and I arrive without a back ache. To me that says it all. I am of generous American dimensions as well. I am 6'1" and weigh about 225. They feel a little tight for a thousand miles or so but they settle in a bit. I HIGHLY recommend them if you have the means.
I have sat in STDan's Focus, and the leg bolsters are a bit much for me. I like a solid feel in the seat, but it seems like the bolsters crowded me above the seat a little. I am not a big guy in the least. about 5'10", 175 lbs. My Subaru has the perfect bolstering for me. Might be that seat time has molded my seat to my ass.

Do any of you feel the same, or am I off my rocker.

Also, for $2 G's, they had better put 2 Recaros up front instead of a Recaro drivers and just a seat cover over the normal seat for the passenger.
lol your seat has Mold in it ... Yes you get both Recaro's someone just had both seats in at a car show to demonstration purposes.. Plus they are heated as well as heated mirrors in the Recaro pkg. Not a big deal unless you live in the North country... The seats are like the colors a personal choice and after seeing the stock seats it is money well spent for me . but that's just me I want a seat that will hold me inplace while on the track or just killing some cones.. Your smilage may vary (I hope they fit as well as my FRS seats)

The Fiesta ST comes standard with the Recaros. We actually don't have any options to select on the car here.

I'm a....plump fellow. I call it baby fat. I weight about 115kgs, 5'11". The seats are snug, but not to the point where they pinch you in a painful way. The side bolsters are fine. Its the thigh bolsters that are a bit too tight. For me at least. I have big legs though.

They will open up a bit over time though.

We do get a choice down here in the US to Recaro or not Recaro ...

I have the standard ST seats in my FiST and the driver seat squeaks and moans like no other... So annoying! Do the Recaros squeak?
