Any thoughts on the Rear Motor Mount ideas that alot of peeps on here are doing?
Not presently. I'm not as rough on the gear as some!
Maybe down the road when the extra hp and shorter throw are installed. After seeing the posts of motor mounts baking in ovens, packed full of pennies and goo, and missing essential washers, don't think I will be searching stateside for that part.
There is alot more parts from the U.K designed for the 3dr. Pumaspeed have a kit that can take the FiST to 275hp with a hybrid turbo upgrade!

Are all the pipes and IC in? Would love to see :) Gonna order mp215 and IC one at a time end of the year. Customs tax yadiyada. Though I do hear jw racing in the UK will fudge the import ticket for you.

Nothing installed yet.
Have not paid any import charges yet, and hoping to avoid altogether. Ordered th MTune handset over the weekend, and have been lead to belive that it is in stock. Once that clears customs I'll order the rest, keeping both under the customs value! Little extra postage but 0 duties!
Hoping to have everything in by All ford day, next month and maybe display!

Little update,
MTune handset has been ordered, hoping for shipping to happen today.
Started painting the engine cover :
Image

Only has 1&1/2 coats down of VHT engine enamel. Really messed up with the first coat as I forgot about cleaning with prepsol before painting, so had to resand and start again.
While this was drying I decided to take a look into removing the lower front grill and it's supports.
Image

This was relatively simpile and I just need a touch up pen to finish it off. I cut the bars out with a side cutters, then sanded back the nubs on the low side
Image

Didn't bother doing this to the top ones as you'd have to be lying on the ground to notice them! There was plenty of taping as so not to sand the lower bar,
Image

Used painters tape to protect bottom layer, then electrical tape on top to protect from the abrasive!
As I didn't remove the side supports the grill can still be refitted securely
Image

Will prob leave it on until I install my mountune one and get a touch up pen to touch up where I removed the bars.

How did you colour match the remaining lower grill parts without a touch up pen Photoshop?
Firstly, I don't use photoshop, all images are a true representation of my car!
Don't really understand what parts your talking about. No touch up paint has been applied yet. Just ordered a touch up kit from paints4u on ebay this morning. $55 shipped, god dam Molten Orange tri coat, more pricey than a black or white touch up kit!
Also scored a set of Team Heko wind deflectors yesterday on ebay, $110 shipped, have been after a set of these since I bought my car, and finally found a seller that will ship from UK to Aus for a reasonable price!!!
Been spending too many $$s lately on the car, 1 more planned purchase to go!! Then I will have to recommence savings as Insurance and rego aint too far away from re-up!! And after that wheels, BBK, DP, & CBE are all on the wish list.

Ok, so today turned out to be another day of playing with the car!
Laid down the 3rd and final coat of yellow on the engine cover, pretty happy with how thats come up, now on to the graphic!
Then decided to install the mountune quick shift, and found I had none of the right tools to do the job. So off to the hardware to pick up a 24mm spanner and some allen keys. Now this job was the biggest pain in the face, ever, to install. Firstly if you are going to install one of these get yourself a 24mm spanner & a 24mm socket with extension bar. I only had a spanner, which made it quite difficult to remove the pin. Then when you finally get that out, the headache starts again trying to blindly bolt in the new part. I butchered the allen key so I could fit it in the tiny space and get full turns! It looked like this :
Image

It's beside a regular allen key so you can see how much it was cut down. (Should have done this from the beginning and avoided 20 mins of flustrating attempts and 1/8 turns)
Image

As the induction pipe had to be removed to do this install, I installed the mountune one when I was reassembling the car
Image

Grabbed the unfinished engine cover and threw it in for a photo op
Image

Went for a short spin to test it out and all the headaches and flustrations were well worth it. The gearbox should have definitely come from the factory like this!

They are simple to install, just slot into the window seal, then train the windows to recognize them, by winding them up and down a few times.
They cannot be removed with the windows up!
Would have preferred the climair ones but the shipping cost on them is ridiculous.
Have had both types of deflectors on previous vehicles, find the slot in type much better than the stick on ones.
