Mismatched brake pads ?

My rear pads are squealing and it's about time to change. I recently purchased the front pads off Amazon for a great deal (Amazon.com: Motorcraft BRF1442 Brake Lining Kit: Automotive) , but looking at rockauto, I see I can get rear pads for quite a bit cheaper than OEM.

The rear Power Stop #Z23886 Ceramic pads seem like a good deal , and I imagine they would cut down on the dust. Would it be ok to use these on the rear, yet keep the semi-metallic OEM pads up front? I don't do any kind racing.

Also, I believe the front pads are different on the ST than base model Fiesta's, but are the rears? I noticed some of the rear pads on rockauto have the same model # as those for every other trim Fiesta

Having different pad compounds between front and back isn't a problem. Usually you'll want a "weaker" pad in the back (so a ceramic in the back is fine).

The base, SE, SES models are drum brakes, the ST is disc so make sure it's a pad and not a shoe.

KNS Brakes is a good spot for pads too.
